Enya
Anyone into her? I have been since I was just out of nappies. Great music when I was a kid to fall asleep to. Shepherd Moons was a favorable one. I have her on tape (yes...tape lol).
Shepherd Moons was the first track on the tape. Don't really remember much of the other ones. Just goes to show how effective it was for sleeping haha |

I've been listening to Shepherd Moons for over 20 years. Great album.

I love Enya! And can't believe there's no other thread about her on MB?
My all time favorite track is "China Roses." She really got me through a lot of tough stuff as a kid. So calming and soothing and intricate. If you like Enya, I also recommend Imogen Heap. |

Her first one, Watermark, is a masterpiece. The title track can just about put me to tears. I haven't listened to all of her work, but I've gone through most of it. It's been a long time since I've revisited that realm of brilliance, so thanks for bringing this one back up.

While we're on the topic I can't help posting this brilliant piece of work, either, although the orchestration is by Howard Shore, Enya provides the melody and the voice work of course. I would consider this, probably, the most beautiful thing I have ever heard.

When my Nana was in better health, she used to go out to Africa to see 1 of her daughters for a few months from time to time (my aunty). My aunty has lived out there for over 30 years now.
I discovered this song years ago and it's quite fitting to the continent... peace |
