On the edit, I live very close to where Gordon Lightfoot was born. He sometimes gives local shows at churches and so on, and I've met him upon occasion.

I think that Jim was well on his way to death and probably would have died before the age of 35 regardless of his life choices at the time of his death. Jimi, on the other hand, probably could have been helped. (There's a really cool Jimi Hendrix memorial here in the Seattle area btw.) It's strange to think he was a close personal friend of Janis Joplin's - both died at age 27.

That's cool that you've met Gordon. I grew up a few hours from where Bob Dylan was born and raised - my dad's eaten a few meals at a restaurant called Zimmerman's that's apparently owned by distant relatives of Bob's. Cool stuff.

Why are there so many instrumental songs guys? Like we get the idea, you don't have any lyrics.

It's been done so many fucking times before, it's getting old.
