I don't mind the song, but the music video from Give My Regards to Broad Street… ugh.

Oh come on guys... we all love listening to cheesy love songs from time to time.

But its always best when its one of the classics like True Love Ways by Buddy Holly.

I really don't though, but maybe I'm just secretly jealous deep down inside. Either that or I'm a bitter old man deep down inside.

I was so in love with Buddy Holly when I was younger.

Must be the glasses.

He really did have the perfect facial structure as well. And it always seemed so strange and radical to me that a young man from Texas was a rock n' roller. Heaven have mercy.

It's strange to me to think that I'm 3 years older than Buddy Holly was when he passed away - he accomplished so much in the short life he was given. It's incredible.

I think the fascinating thing about Buddy's music is that it's like a time capsule. He never had the chance to grow stale -- we'll always think of him as young and exciting.

edit: I just wanted to throw in that I grew up not far from where the plane that took his life had crashed. Spooky stuff.

Same with Morrison and Hendrix. Either only the good die young, or we perceive them differently because they died young.

On the edit, I live very close to where Gordon Lightfoot was born. He sometimes gives local shows at churches and so on, and I've met him upon occasion.
