You take a bunch of sauerkraut, mold it into a ball and leave it out in the sun until it gets hard. You use it for, I don't know, sandwiches and ****.

"Kraut" is an ethnic slur often employed by brits to refer to germans derived from the German dish "Sauerkraut". Basically, the British music press in the late 60s/early 70s saw a lot of of experimental bands coming out of Germany at that time taking influences from Psych, Progressive rock, Free Jazz etc. and dubbed it all as Krautrock. The thing is that the bands were often unrelated to one another/coming from different scenes, so really, it means nothing.

sooo...It's another..pointless genre?
