I could list at least 50 albums from this year alone that I have fully enjoyed. If I went back to 2010, that list would be ridiculous.

2010 was unreal. Will take a lot for another year to be that consistent.

Always depends on what you get around to listening to. Every year has amazing albums, and every year has amazing albums you just so happened to miss out on.

Very true. No bad years. Just varying degrees of excellence.

Or varying degrees of luck on your own behalf.

Well that too. Though years come to be defined by their landmark releases(sad in some respects) and 2010 had a hell of a lot of really massive, potentially iconic albums. That's why it sticks in my mind.

yeah I remember when 2011 was going on and there was a period where I wasn't enthralled by a lot of what I was hearing. lots of the goodies from that year I discovered near the end or early 2012. luck of the draw.

I think ive gotten better at finding albums I love a lot quicker (or with more regularity) each year, so yeah 2014 has been great. I mean theres like 30 or 40 aotys already right
