Later on in Shelley's life she expressed her disgust for this song and while I certainly agree with her, I love this song for the nostalgic value it holds in my life. Can't believe it was recorded a year before my mother was born and it still sounds pristine.

here's a song with a similarly creepy/man-centric position:

lyrics are pretty gross, but I love this song for sentimental reasons.

I don't remember exactly the year but there was a time where i hated mainstream Rock cause the popular bands were Creed, 3 doors down, Puddle of mud, Papa roach, just awful bands all around playing either bad nu metal or grunge.

And the alternative to that was pop punk made by New found glory or Simple plan or god forbid Yellow card.

like i said, i don't remember when those band were popular but i think it was around the late 90's and early 2000.
I think that's the only period i truly hated mainstream music.

I know. That's what I said. "I was so upset that I cried all the way to the chip shop!" Ah, they don't write them like that any more! What a classic! Kids these days huh? Dunno they're born...
