It is in my opinion =/

nah I'm not old enough to have that opinion.

What did they play on the radio in the 70s/80s/90s?

Music is more expansive than ever before, even pop music. There's more diversity, creativity, and experimentation. One day's flagship releases are wildly different from the day before's. Countless genres are reaching unheard of heights of quality. But Jesus Christ, it doesn't compare to Air Supply and U2.

Where is the diversity in today's popular music that you see?

I asked because I don't see it.

How is Rihanna, Taylor Swift, Beyonce, Nikki Minaj, Jay Z, Kanye West, such diversity, creativity and experimentation?

I am not talking about music overall. I am specifically referring to the decline in popular music

There was way more diversity in pop music back in the 70's and 80's...hell even the 90's.

Nothing hit #1 in April 1962. That's how bad music was back then. Beat that Soulflower!

Taylor Swift is a world away from Jay-Z. Even mentioning them in the same sentence is laughable.

I think Soul Flower forgets that there are other popular artists out there that are creative and talented other than the so called "bad" artists she constantly repeats herself about.
