Just release the song and declare it #1 on the charts and they'll go out and buy it after the fact. It's like the industry is just on auto-pilot and nobody is listening to anything. Just release it under some big star's name and people go buy it no matter what. You couldn't have a Milli Vanilli fiasco now because it wouldn't matter what they sounded like--just release a song under their name, tell everybody that it's #1 and the sheep go out and buy it. It doesn't matter what it is even when they know it's lip-synced. They buy it anyway and defend the "artist" like they do with Rihanna.

Did you even read the article that you linked to?
It's nothing of the sort.
Do you even know how the charts work since it was changed to include downloads?

keep on spouting this crap, it's hilarious.

Aw, gimme a chance man! I've been working twenty-five hours a day, eight days a week here on Metal Month II. You're lucky to even see me outside my journal! Just want the outside world to know that, against all the odds and confounding all bets, I am still alive.

Musical taste is like any other: what you listen to doesn't make you any better or worse than anyone else. I like tacos best. You prefer spaghetti. Fine. Neither one of is enlightened; neither is a sheep.

People who like tacos are clearly much more enlightened and better.

People like pizza because the food industry markets it as the best food out there to meet their agenda. If people would start eating foods like calzones maybe we wouldn't see this saturation of the market that were seeing now. It's not like it used to be, when all types of food were popular instead of this fake and mass produced dish.

People like pizza because it taste good. The pizza isn't the problem, it's the fact it is being subject to mass production. At one time for a family own business since the ingredients were cheap it was profitable for a small family run business. Think of the ending to "The Internship" the owner like the fact he hand picked his own ingredients at the local market. On the other-hand franchise food chains have everything down to literally a science. What temperature the food is store, how much should be used, what temperature and how long it is cooked etc. Most of the stuff in a food chain is prepare before hand and frozen before it is distributed. Something about frozen food that zaps taste out of it. There are certain conveniences of franchise restaurants that appeal to the public - I am skeptical it is because of taste that they are popular. I think for the casual yet discriminating connoisseur family own pizzerias and local diners are much better than large franchises.

I'm really not going to read this wall of text when the first few paragraphs are pretty stupid already.
