What was the best song you listened to today?
So ideally this would be one of the last posts you made on here before heading off, but I'm not that fussed. It would be nice if people explained why they liked the song so much and maybe expand on what they were doing at the time of listening.
I'll post mine for yesterday in a minute because I've hardly listened to anything today. So we were having a sort of Indie Rock theme in plug last night and Neapolitan played this. Absolutely loved it. Lovely shoegazey music with a cute vocal. Definitely going to check the band out further. Cheers Neap. |
On first glance I thought that was Bob Dylan in that tracksuit top.

Looked like an Asian dude to me.

I was making a new 8tracks playlist and I had some Madlib stuff on there, so my mind naturally wondered to DOOM and I decided to put this track on as well. I absolutely love this remix. |
OBSESSED best pop song since call me maybe ~~~ -their album is actually very good and cool too yep yep |

Arguably my favourite song of all time. I have an immeasurable amount of fondness for every aspect of this track. |
One of my favorite bass lines by Watt, one of my favorite basslines of all time. The guitar tone, too... sounds like he's playing barres on like the last, smallest frets (but the fingers, they are big! Of how one does this?!) through the neck pickup? Lots of treble, of course. |
Today has been a slow day for me, i haven't listened to alot of music only a couple of La Luz tracks.

So basically I put my iphone on shuffle yesterday and this was maybe the third, fourth and fifth track.
http://i.imgur.com/DaTo8Dh.png Are you really going to ask me to choose between the three? I didn't think so. |

I haven't listened to much music today because I have been catching up on TV shows and then watching the footie. That said, I put on Mutant Disco: A Subtle Discolation of the Norm (CD1) about an hour ago and this track always stands out. |
^great track, man. That bassline. Ba-duh-dum-boo-dummmmnnnn. I was gonna post something but that pretty much beats it.
|
Everyone probably knows by now that this lady is like one of my favourite artists ever. And this one one of her tracks that I recently started to love after buying her Tour CD. The beat is great, especially when the chorus kicks in. |
|
Probably the best song i heard all week.. |
bitch asked me my name, i said East-Side Flex. |
Listened to this earlier and it led me to download DMX's best of. ****ing love this song. Remember it being a favourite back when I played Def Jam Vendetta. |
|
i doubt anything is gonna top this for at least a few days.. |
^since we're on the topic of Hendrix, lemme just add my best track I listened to today...the girl who outlived Hendrix by only 16 days!
|
one from left of center: "rør ved mig" (touch me) by 70s danish pop duo, lecia and lucienne, a danish cover of the old spanish eurovision smash, "eres tu". the spanish original is available on rhino's have a nice day series, but be warned, the danish is way, way superior, sumptuous in every way, touch me!

Going with A Little God In My Hands as well as The Seer by Swans today.

Smoke on the Water

The Fun Company - Zambezi [Funk] - YouTube One of the best Funk records I've heard in a while. |
|
"Cinderella Man" by Rush.
Or maybe "Xanadu". |
In nostalgia-love with this right now. |
I found this album on Rate Your Music and it's pretty mental. This track is no exception. Booming beat/techno, then some cutesy hook. So weird. |
Runnin' wild by Airbourne.
