I just don't know what album club you're talking about.

Cheers, for the vespers I wanted to put the brilliant recording of it by Rinaldo Alessandrini from 2014, but the image wasn't there.

I'm loving some of these top 50s, lots of stuff I need to check out. And Suzi's is a great reminder to get onto stuff I haven't heard in decades.

Plus, the overarching story is so fun and romantic, simple yet effective, that it makes for a great mental movie to watch as the album goes on.

The first version of it that I heard was a CD with the bonus tracks The Bouncer, When Time Stood Still, and Julie Don't Live Here, and that's the version that's on my list. They fit the other songs perfectly, and I can't imagine the album without them. I've even come up with ways for them to fit in with the other songs storywise, 'cause I'm a weirdo.

Ha ha, yeah, I figured you wouldn't be too surprised by my choices. I miss plugging with you man, those were some good times.
I picked The Turtles Presents The Battles of the Bands for approximately the same reason. It has songs that "are guaranteed to be stuck in your head for days, cheesy ballads that demand to be sung along to ..." I don't think it is a knock-your-socks-off I-must-recommend-this type of album. It's more of a personal favorite.

Our Kate Bush rankings are not that far off just for me HOL > TD. I think I might rate NFE higher too.

Time is a fun album, I'll be playing this for a while. I liked some bits from them before but I think this is my favourite album of theirs.

Aw, The Turtles are great. My sister introduced me to them with Happy Together. Man, that song still sounds fresh and vibrant, despite being like fifty years old.

Honestly, on some days, Hounds of Love > The Dreaming for me as well. But I think The Dreaming usually wins because it was the album that really cemented my love for her music.

Give it time. Everyone comes around eventually.
