I'd rather be surprised when I find out so I'm gonna be cynical and **** about it.

The album "Shadows" with Shoji Hano was pretty damn good though.
It seems O'Rourke will be playing guitar on this one, I'm curious how his and Haino's playing will work together.

New Hop Along and Waxahatchee, titles to be announced, those are, so far, the albums I have the highest expectations about for this next year.

Forgot Kendrick is supposed to drop another album this year and judging from I've heard so far it's going to be great.

Oh and Tyler as well hopefully farther on the direction of WOLF because that album rocks.

The new, and as of yet untitled, Chevelle album slated for a mid 2015 release. I think this band is great. In the heap of mainstream bands that are out there, Chevelle are one that stand apart. I've always liked Pete and his style of playing guitar, some of my favorite riffs of 2014 came from their La Gargola album which is also one of my favorite albums of 2014. I took my fiance to see them in Portland, Oregon last year, and they were great live, very memorable.

I don't expect for many to share my opinion about Chevelle here. But that's fine by me. I'll go crank Take Out The Gunman out of spite!

I agree. Chevelle is one of the few bands I've continued loving after expanding my music taste.

They got that branding in the very early 2000's as this run of the mill nu-metal band. If you go back and listen from their Point #1 album, all the way to La Gargola, there is very noticeable growth without letting go of what made them a unique band when nu-metal was huge to begin with. Pete just has this talent to pull out these amazingly tasteful, and catchy riffs, and it's a reason why I regard him as this unspoken treasure in the world of guitarists. He doesn't show off, but you can just tell that he knows his sh*t. You name one band that is also mainstream, and successful, and fairly new that has a guitarist/vocalist that comes up with riffs as creative, because you'd have a hard time naming many. You know it's Chevelle when you hear that guitar. Chevelle isn't bland, and I often question those that say they are, because to me Chevelle aren't close to bland.
