only musicals i can bare to watch all the way through that i can think of right now would be Rocky Horror Picture Show, Grease, and Hair

On the whole I don't care for musicals as just when I'm getting into the plot and song and dance breaks out and spoils the film & story. I can understand why you like them Dotem as my mother does too.
I have enjoyed a few films where music is a feature though. Over the years these have been ones such as Grease. I really loved the songs Grease lightning and wanted Olivia Neutron Bomb as my girlfriend when she sung Your the one that I want in the fairground scene. She was georgeous in that outfit and hair. I was 10 at the time.

I also love the songs in Gene Wilders, Charlie & the chocolate factory. I especially liked The Umpah Lumpah song. I also liked the one spoilt Veruca Salt sings when her rich father gets his factory workers to search for tickets.
I didn't realise I liked all these. Memorys are flooding back. Chitty Chitty Bang Bang is another fave of mine.

i guess i never considered charlie and the chocolate factory to be a musical, but ya i guess it sort of is.

I know what you mean. The music features but it doesn't take over. It takes over for me in Oliver Twist musical film from The 60s. The one where Mark Lester plays Oliver. I suppose I shouldn't complain as it was intended to be a musical.
I love the music in The Wizard of Oz. I love the film completely and Fenixpunk I bet you've tried playing Dark side of the moon to The wizard of Oz as bandied about through Urban myth and tried to create your own trippy musical. Me and a mate tried it some years ago and convinced ourselves it worked. After all this time I'm not sure if it did or were we just pretending to ourselves it did. I must try it again sometime.

I love Blues Brothers, I guess that is a musical. I saw a Blues Brothers tribute act last year, actually, they were surprisingly good.

of course, who hasnt?? i think the trick to getting it cued up right was to start the cd when the mgm lion roars for the second time, i dont really remember, but i think thats how it works. Some parts of the movie did seem to go along perfect with the cd whether or not it was ever intended too. And it made the movie that much more interesting.

That would have been easier with a cd, for starting it just at the precise moment. It was probably too fiddly at the time for me trying cue up a vinyl whist, say being under the influence. I don't recall knowing I should start the experiment as the mgm lion roars for the second time. That may have been another factor in any doubt I felt.
I reckon there are loads of people who have not heard of this Floyd/Oz connection Fenixpunk.
