Hi there, I wonder what would be your understading or interpretation of the sentence "beggin for thread". I don't understand what it means in the song by Banks begging for thread.

Any thoughts?

It could be a reference to Theseus, who killed the Minotaur. The Minotaur was housed in a labyrinth, and he had a spool of string that he unwound along the way so he would be able to find his way out. So it could be that he's lost in whatever he's in, his craziness maybe like Plankton mentioned, and even though he needs to be in that labyrinth, there still needs to be a potential way to get out.
