Nirvana was the first band i loved and i used to idolize Kurt but i don't think they alone killed hair metal.
i think they use that expression just cause teen spirit in a way represented a new sound and a new attitude that you could tell was gonna be the next musical movement.

But Nirvana didn't start that movement by themselves it's just him and nirvana and a couple other bands were at the forefront of it.

Pearl Jam tended to have more imitators than Nirvana did.
I just said that one song was a Nirvana ripoff. It sounds almost nothing like their other songs, as they never really went in for the whole quiet verse, LOUD-AS-****-CHORUS thing.

I definitely agree that's a terrible song (with some of the cringe-worthiest lyrics of the 90s) but it doesn't sound like Nirvana at all to me.

Is that really their biggest hit? I always thought "Disarm" or "1979" was.

"1979" was their highest charting single, but i think "Bullet" got more accolades.

Ugh. From who? I hated that song from the moment I heard it.

Just listen to these two songs back to back and tell me nobody ripped anybody off. I suppose Corgan is a good enough songwriter that it isn't Bush obvious, but it's close enough.
