All he did was shout random nonsense that didn't seem to add anything to the music.
He isn't a vocalist, the vocals tend to be speeded up samples, which is a trait that pretty much gives the genre it's name. He's just there to shout random phrases like 'move your ass' or 'raise your hands' during various parts of the song.

How exactly is that so different from most techno?

I don't get the Disco argument. Disco was a fad or a trend (depending how you feel about it) that happen during the late 70s. There weren't many artists or bands that were strictly Disco for the sake of Disco. And some of the biggest names in Disco were cross overs from R&B and bands that were either from Rock or Funk camps that release Disco songs. Donna Summer even though she was dubbed Queen of Disco, really was artist that had many styles R&B, Pop, Gospel, etc. Gloria Gaynor felt that Disco ruined her career, because she was initially an R&B singer and she was pinned as a Disco artist and was passed over cause of that. Barry Gibbs vehemently denies that the Bee Gees were a Disco band. And a lot of musicians were critical of it because they took the rhythms found in Soul and Funk and made it straight 4/4 dance beat.

They had snubbed Donna Summer for years which is why they finally inducted her when she died. She was nominated multiple times (They had a reason to finally induct her with her passing)

I think they waited off for Whitney because she recently became eligible.

If that is your opinion of Disco that is fine but I consider it to be a real musical genre that had some of the best songwriters and singers

I think Donna Summer deserves to get in because she actually is the main artist that really made disco into an "art form" and she is one of the greatest pop singers of all time in my opinion. I can not imagine any one else singing Macarthur's Park which is basically a song that uses descriptions of a cake withering away. She sung the hell out of that song and made me sad that the cake rained out in the rain lol

My issue with Donna Summer and the RHOF is, she was nominated to be inducted 5/6 times (while she was alive) and they snubbed her. So this lets me know that they wanted her to be inducted because they nominated her multiple times but they did not actually pick her for whatever political reason. They waited till she died to induct her which is sad because she should have already been inducted. Her family even commented on that when they represented her in the induction ceremony. She is not an act that should have gotten in because of her death. She is an act that made a significant impact on music (at a certain period in time) and deserves to get in.
Why would they care about disco though, it's ROCK AND ROLL HALL OF FAME! How hard is that to understand? Just because you like her doesn't mean everyone else should be expect to. And how is it political? You don't know the real reason you're just making assumptions.

You also ignored everything about Kiss and Rush being ignored for years and years.

I don't really listen to much of any techno. Which is why I asked if happy hardcore was just another name for Euro-trash techno. Cause then it'd all come together.

I should think the fact that I listen to Manowar, Britney Spears, and the Insane Clown Posse would be much more damning.
