Default The Band Ladder

This is a game I saw on another music forum in which one member posts a band or artist and the next does a brief (as in a few sentences) review of them, then posts one of their own. The next poster reviews them an posts another, ad infinitum. It's very similar to our Yay or Nay thread.

Mods, if this already exists, my apologies. I did a couple searches, but couldn't find a similar thread.

Please refrain from posting uber-famous groups (think Beatles, Stones, etc.) and uber-obscure local bands.

I'll start us off:

The Zombies

HATE Zombies! I need my brain! Vampires yes, Zombies no.
(Sorry I don't really know anything about them other than "She's not there" --- is that them?)
But to try to move it along, and tying in with the unintentional theme of "Bands of the Undead and Horror"...

Diablo Swing Orchestra

No, they are NOT...

I can respect that DSO is made up of talented musicians, but I find their music kind of obnoxious tbh. From the album that I heard I thought they were irritating and haven't returned to them.

What the hell? Where are the guys playing table tennis? I demand my money back!

Not bad really. Sort of a 70s soul feel to it mixed with a bit of psychedelia (as if I'd know) and I like the orchestral bits. Is Shawn Lee male or female? Couldn't really tell from the voice. Good, nothing terribly special but not awful.

How about one of my recent favourites? Anubis...

Ugh, try as I might I just don't get this kind of music. It has and likely never will click with me. It all sounds the same to me: good musicianship but just so much cheese.

One of my recent favorites out of Philly.
