Well, nobody needs to hear any specific album. The whole concept of there being such a thing as "1001 albums you NEED TO HEAR" is actually quite silly. But it's fun so whatever.

We've got a Stones album which isn't their most highly regarded on the list. Frownland should toss in Magical Mystery Tour to even out the rivalry.

I think it fits perfectly, though--having a lesser-known album by a super-famous group. It would be like throwing Help!, Magical Mystery Tour, or Let It Be on for the Beatles.

Rubber Soul too! I hate Let It Be though, never return to that one.

The naked version is much better, especially Long and Winding Road and Across the Universe. It's a completely different album.

Because they're great albums, I didn't know there had to be some kind of insight needed on each album if people have already been introduced to it. If it's great why not put it on a greatest albums list?

It's not a greatest albums list, it's a list of albums people should hear that maybe they wouldn't otherwise.
