I am guessing he wasn't online at the time of those albums being posted.

I think what he's trying to say is that the MB list shouldn't be too much of a rehash of the other 1001 list. Though in all honesty, it wasn't a bad list to begin with. That being said, there's plenty of wonderful albums out there that never made it on for one reason or another (especially from the 80's onward).
I've made it a point to pick albums I think do something special within their little musical corner of the room. Usually they mean something to me in a personal / emotional sense too, but not always. Since we've all been following that line of thought so far in our respective postings, what albums wouldn't technically qualify for the MB list so far that have been posted?

I think it is interesting to note that "we've" been following that line of thought that the albums nominated shouldn't appear on Robert Dimery's only about 85% of the time, as of now. Honestly I am curious what it would be like if no one payed attention to that list and just post the albums they liked, only to see how much we have in common. I'm guessing if there is going to be an unwritten rule enforced I guess the percentage would be much lower. I'm not a fan of posting obscure for the sake of being obscure or mentioning albums that one does not like but guesses other will. I am only curious what other people like regardless of rules - whether other may or may not like the choice. I was going to mention Gang of Four - entertainment! and Joy Division - Unknown Pleasures but scratch that rehash. And I was going to mention ex-Girl - Back to the Mono Kero but I am almost positive that made some kinda list in Japan.
