23. Psychic TV - Pagan Day (1984)
^get it?

Pagan day is not just a wonderful stripped down album but also a unique look into the song writing process....it was recorded in a YMCA boarding house in NYC on a 4 track cassette player and at this time Psychic TV was just Genesis P-Orridge and Alex Fergusson

most of these songs appear with proper studio versions on other albums....but this album has a particular sweetness to it....and in my opinion is a perfect introduction to band with such a massive discography

there is also an amazing cover of Pearl Before Swines Translucent Carriages....which was in fact my introductuion to the band itself

if you look into this album i suggest the 1994 re-release as the bonus tracks (including a 24 minute tape collage featuring William S Burroughs) are well worth it
