I was wondering if you could ask to have your thread in the member's journal section made a sticky or maybe include the hyper-link http://www.musicbanter.com/members-j...bum-index.html in your opening post in this thread... just to make it easier to find.

99. Sonic Youth - Daydream Nation (1988)
I read a lot about Sonic Youth and about Lee Ranaldo and Thurston Moore in guitar magazines way before I finally bought this album. It was always on my "albums I want to buy list" but for some reason I didn't get it. I finally did and it surpassed my expectations, then I wish I bought it a lot sooner. Equipped with a bag full of tricks taken from experimental, underground music, Punk and New Wave with a Prog mindset to explore full tilt the potential of their musical ideas within a song - Sonic Youth pulled a rabbit out a hat and created one the best albums of the 80s. It's an exploration in consonance and dissonance, melody, harmony and noise. High Ideas... Time to get it... it will take you to the moon. I felt compelled to nominate this album even though it's another one of my ATF albums that made Robert Dimery's 1001 list. Even stuffy politician in starchy white shirts in Washington liked it cause in 2005 it was picked by the Library of Congress to be saved in the National Recording Registry.

100. Sublime (Self titled album) 1996 This is the 3rd album by Sublime and the only album i had from them, idk about their earlier work but this album is amazing, it blends reggae, ska, punk and alternative perfectly and the album has both commercial appeal and an underground appeal. This album had a couple of hits like 'Santeria' and 'The wrong way' but i think the song in the album that really captures what the band is all about is 'Seed' https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6FGeuCW2GmE ^ this song is ridiculously good, it goes from Punk to reggae to ska with a creative transition not many bands can pull off. The band has a very tight sound and Bradley's vocals are just awesome. he had a great singing voice that could either sing you a soulful reggae song or pump you up with a punk song, if he hadn't died i imagine Sublime would've released more great albums because this band had talent to spare.
