I completely agree with him.
I also agree with his feelings about modern country music and idiots being famous. I also love him for politely telling Michele Bachman to piss off. Tom Petty seems like a really cool, intelligent guy.

Sigh. A band like Boards of Canada are a thousand times more inventive and original than Tom Petty or any dude with an electric guitar from the seventies. I can't understand how people are so close minded about music adapting alongside technological advancement.
