The New Generation and It's Music
Ok. This is a serious music topic.
You take a look at the music from the 60's-80's or even before the 60's. You can see a huge difference. The problem is that the music now a days is being written by teenagers with hormones that are out of control. Like Justin Beaver and his famous lines: 'Baby, baby, baby, oh, though you'd always be mine' Come on! How old was he ? 14? I don't know... But the kids now a days ate it up, and the parents promoted their choice in music. Yesh, parents should allow their children to be introduced to new things, but it's not helping. Kids now a days probably have no clue who David Bowie, Led Zepplin, or Frank Sinatra are! It's sad! Parents need to take a roll into their childs life and introduce them to the good stuff! I am probably a hypocrite, but whatever. I believe that parents now a days are to involved in electronics, and kids are given IPads like it's a stuffed animal! They think it's normal with all the electronics, and pop music going around everywhere! Sometimes I almost hope for the apocalypse. Kids should have a free choice in what music they listen to, and should explore their tastes. But media is shoving garbage through their ears. I guess it is the 21st century, and I guess I am just a hypocrite because I miss when music was good. But I have a reason to. Please express your feelings on the subject below! |

Justin Bieber doesn't actually write his own music. He has, like, 80 people who does it for him.
But I think people who only listen to Justin Bieber and such are mostly people who don't give a crap about music anyway. If music is a genuine interest of theirs, they will search for more music, find something better, and eventually stop listening to Justin Bieber. Also, electronics makes it easier to find new music and explore one's tastes, because of tools like Spotify, Last.fm and Pandora, and forums like this one.

You can't really compare Bieber to Bowie cause they are 2 different genres and it's not like the pop today is worse than the pop of yesterday, as i recall the New kids on the block wrote the same kinda songs Bieber does today
i used to think like you that the music from older generations was better than the current music of today but i realised that was because that is the music i grew up with and that mentality of thinking they can do no better was actually making me more narrow minded than open minded and i was rejecting things before i gave them a chance. there are musicians out there making great music, they might not have the exposure bieber has but you can still find their albums on youtube it's good to appreciate the music of older generations but i think you also gotta look forward to the future of music without the predisposition that is gonna suck. You are not a hypocrite just for having a preference but i think you should look for the good music of today instead of focusing on the bad ones

One is the leader of a rat pack, and the other was Frank Sinatra.
