Carrying all the equipment to the gigs and setting them up..
Also finding a good parking spot near the gig so you don't have to drag your amp for 3 blocks

I am not a musician, but I would like to contribute to this thread... I think that the biggest pain for a musician is going out of business. Logically, this has got to be the worst case scenario. Think about it, a musician has to give up on his/her favorite career because he or she does not have enough money to pay off his/her debt. That would totally suck. (I wouldn't want to see that happen to anyone.)

Knowing that everyone wants to get into the act, but there's very few who want to get into yours if you don't have a sharp or solid image or hype, or considering the Internet age not knowing how in a way that's like the person always complaining about not hearing anything good but not knowing of that Indie store that may have the answer back in the day. Tied for first place - getting payed!

The worst part is getting people to listen to your music, imo. 99% of people won't give you a chance and I don't blame them for it, so the difficult part is finding a way to get people interested
