Do you buy digital music?
Sorry if there is a thread like this already. It probably is, but my half-arsed search didn't show anything, so I'm just going to take my chances.
Do you buy digital music, do you stick to physical mediums like vinyl and CDs, or do you combine those two? I'd like this to be a poll, so if one of you mods could do me that favor...

Yeah all the time, I use amazon mp3 and it's awesome. You can share your account with like 10 people too, so I let a few of my buddies use it too.

I don't buy digital copies of music. If I'm gonna buy it, I want it to at least have the possibility of resale value. If I'm buying music, I prefer to buy it on formats or editions that had limited runs so as to increase the possibility of the item appreciating in value.
As far as what format I prefer, as 90%+ of what I buy is underground metal releases, I prefer tapes. As underground metal is both consumed & produced on a highly international scale, most of the material produced is for sale overseas. So tapes are more practical than vinyl, as the shipping costs for vinyl make it impractical unless you're doing a very large order. As an example, I just ordered 2 tapes from Bestial Burst, a Finnish distro. The shipping costs was about 3 euros. If that had been vinyl, it would've been over 10 euros... as far as why I don't just get cd's then, tapes are (usually) produced in very limited runs (300 or so), so they stand a better chance of appreciating in value. Besides, a vinyl initially starts out at around double the cost of cassettes, so why not just get a tape? That's my thoughts, anyways. Cassette boner as always.

I pay monthly for Rhapsody streaming service, and when I have some money, buy vinyls, purely as a collector thing though. We hardly ever use the record player.
All my CD's have been long gone for awhile now from moving a dozen times, and it's just too heartbreaking to try bringing that collection back up to par. Collecting vinyl makes me feel cooler anyways. Little by little, it will eventually match my Rhapsody library.

I pay a subscription fee for Spotify Premium (half off because I'm a student woo), so there's that. Whenever I get an iTunes gift card from my family members who have no idea what the **** to get me for Christmas, I usually use that to find albums I've had trouble getting. I think I've paid for an album on bandcamp once, but that was mainly because it was my friend's band and I want to support any local free jazz groups.
