People that buy tickets for festivals without knowing the line up probably do so based off of their previous experiences and don't really care who actually shows up but just to be in the scene full of crowded people enjoying the type of music they love.

Fame, fortune, power, titties. People say these are the most crucial things in life, but you can have a pocket full o' gold and it doesn't mean sh*t if you don't have someone to share that gold with. This is exactly what I was saying in my last post. A co-worker and I are going to a festival that each of us went to when we were in high school. We know only some of the bands, but we're mainly going because we loved our experiences in the past and were really looking forward to having fun there this year.
