Default Genre Wars!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Yeah, you always have to have at least six exclamation marks, don't cha? Or exclamation points, if you prefer...

Simple enough: genre takes on genre. Take into account that although you may be a metal head you may like the hotness of a pop star, or maybe you're a keys person and like prog versus the anger of punk? Who knows? Let's see how we get on with the first pairing...

Metallica -- Jump in the fire (Genre: Heavy Metal; Subgenre: Thrash Metal)

versus
Alex Gaudino feat Crystal Waters --- Destination Calabria (Genre: Pop; Subgenre: Electronica/Dance)

What are these genres? And why do these particular songs represent them?

We are just supposed to listen to each song and pick which one we prefer?

yeah a minor note in parenthesis about what the specific genres are would be nice or will that be revealed later on?

But there's plenty of music in that genre with substance. I DON'T UNDERSTAND THIS THREAD.

Got something to back that statement up? I mean, the musicianship of a full band that actually PLAYS their instruments versus a programmed beat with sound samples. Substance vs Style.

FWIW, I'm not a real fan of 'genre's'. I cringed a bit even while typing that.

Honestly I'm not the person to ask. I know next to nothing about electronic music. I'm sure someone else can help us out though.
