I know, they're completely different to this rest. Which could lead to lots of argument. Elbow are the only kinda similar band in there.

Can you explain your rationale for saying this?

This has nothing to do with this thread. What does this question have to do with this thread? And I hope for your sake it is not because of my list because if so that is beyond ignorant.

top ten forevers...

Depeche Mode....my first true love when it comes to music
DEVO....i can say with certainty that they helped shape my mind as a child subconsciously and then consciously molded it into what it today as an adult
Swans....i think existential despair are the best two words to describe the music of Swans.....i can't think of any other band in the history of music that makes me happy to see them grow into what they've become
Priscilla Paris....my heart and soul belongs to this amazingly underrated singer songwriter
Rudimentary Peni....the perfect blend of good politics and HP lovecraft
Unsane....the perfect blend of misanthropic anger mixed with caged desperation
Current 93....David Tibet's lyrical surrealism, wicked elf voice, and mostly minimal compositions are something i seem to never get tired of even as i slowly loose faith in the "neofolk" genre as a whole
Unwound....i'm thinking that Unwound had such a huge impact on both me and my friends in the mid 90s...that we still all find ourselves sitting in smoked filled living rooms talking loudly over the loudly played music when ever we have the time to see each other
Kiss The Anus Of A Black Cat....i only found this band about five or so years ago....but by the third song on An Interlude to the Outermost...they were literally all i wanted to hear....still listen to them daily
Quicksand ....Walter Schreifels has been one of my favorite musicians since the first Quicksand release in 1993....and it was the time of my life seeing them last year....the lyrics are stern and reflective yet witty and the music is everything i think hardcore should sound like

And i don't mind it or anything, im just saying.

Also you never answered the question, do you?

Okay, lol just checking.

Well like I have said plenty of times here while I listen to different styles of music, my favorite genre is soul/funk so naturally there are more African American artists in that genre. But there are many different artists of many different races that I listen to but the thread asked your fav Top 10 and I just listed that and they just so happen to be African American artists

Lastly, I love everybody from all races and walks of life. (Still not sure what prompt you to ask that is it because of my preference to soul/funk? If that is so that is stlli a misguided judgement)

I just wonder if others here get asked the same question being most of the members here mostly listen to white rock or indie/independent artists.

@Realtalk

idk about other ppl but i asked you personally because i don't know any other member here that has the pro-black vibe i get from your posts.

Which again, i don't mind it's just an observation.

Can you elaborate on this?

Im confused.

Soo the only reason why you asked that question is because some of my favorite artists are African American?

I am confused because majority of the members here mainly listen to white rock bands or white indie artists. Have you asked them the same question?

this alone is racist

"white rock" is the dumbest thing i've ever heard. literally.
