Do I listen to lyrics? Yes. Do I care about lyrics? Somewhat, yes. If a songs lyrics were about, I dunno, the price of black olives or the consistency of concrete, then it would likely put me off.

I do appreciate the vibe, feel or sound of a song more than the lyrics though.

Absolutely. Lyrics can have an appreciable effect on my enjoyment (or non) of music.

I don't care about lyrics much at all. I listen to plenty of stuff in languages I can't even partially understand and it makes no difference to me.

What I care about is the sound and character of the voice and how different languages sound. I like how Finnish and Russian sounds in singing, for example, while my own language (Danish) rubs me the wrong way.

While bad lyrics don't necessarily turn me off, good lyrics turn me on, if that makes sense.

Hey that's not very nice of you/very nice of you to say!
So I'm pretentious now? I thought being a dick was exclusively Batlord's territory around here.

That makes lots and lots of sense and I'd like to say the same. Being honest, I think I tend to ignore the lyrics even when they're good. Shameful, really.

Yes, I pay attention to the lyrics and the music. Both have to be at a certain level to hold my interest. Great lyrics are a bonus, as is great music, and having both is what makes a song a classic in my opinion.

No, music is all about our individual perceptions of it, so there's no need to question yours.
