Was that Beyonce album any good?

Ya know, that one that got rave reviews and stuff towards the end of last year. That one I only heard about last week. That one with that has some song on it about doing something weird and probably dangerous with a surfboard.

EDIT: I put this in general because I think albums like the one I'm asking about kinda tend to be so obscure and confused in their influences that they end up sidestepping genre. Don't even really qualify as pop, given poor charting of the singles.
