Default Songs to die to

So you're in a situation where death is imminent, and there is no way to get out of it. You have time to pop your earphones in and listen to one last song, but what do you pick? How do you want to go out feeling, happy, calm, melancholy, pumped up? Do you want to pick a long one so you have to most time left to live, or would you rather pick a short song and have it over with quickly?

It varies from day to day but at the moment I'd probably go with this beauty:

Not only one of my favorite songs, but also one about the inevitability of death.
Delivered in a relaxing style that combines whimsy and gloom.

As the misery slowly creeps, you try and fight the inevitable. Frantically piecing together the events of your life in an attempt to justify your existence. Eventually culminating in the realisation and acceptance of your fate.

This song does that.

Other than DYCDTTS, we've all gone with pretty melancholy songs. Seems most of us want to go out feeling deep and meaningful, haha.

Or shallow and meaningful. Another song I feel would be nice to die to is Blood Red Bird by Smog. It's like a selfish march toward oblivion

In all honesty, I would probably go with the instrumental for my favourite song of all time:

Listening to this always creates space for me to think.

Yes indeed, one of his many gems.

^Nice, Goofle. I would die to that. Not sure how much thinking I would want to do while I die though.
