Well yes, but more than half of my entire grade goes to other people's houses at lunch and go drink and smoke weed (we have open lunch.) Many of the people are also rather slutty and go **** anyone they see.. I just find it better to not get into that crap.

Urban Hat€monger ? 07-28-2005 12:34 PM

Like i said , it`s preserving your childhood.

I had no desire to do any of that at 15

.angie. 07-28-2005 12:38 PM

Exactly, I highly doubt many people continue being straight-edge after they're like, 21 or whatever. Unless they are truly devoted to it, I'm sure they grow out of it.

Urban Hat€monger ? 07-28-2005 12:43 PM

See you`ve hit the nail on the head there.

Thats why I find this straight edge stuff so funny. Some 14/15 year old boasting ' I don`t touch drugs , I don`t have sex , I don`t drink blah blah blah'

I think to myself 'yeah , well done sunshine ... but have you ever actually felt the need to do it anyway?'

Now being straight edge when you`re 28 & after you`ve suffered dissapointment , you`re worn out from being in the real world & about the only thing you want to do after a hard day at work is go down your pub with your friends .... THAT is when being straight edge would actually be an achievement.

.angie. 07-28-2005 12:47 PM

Yes, i completly agree with that. But any 14/15 year old could go out and have sex, drink, and do drugs. They just don't have the desire to do those things as much as an older person, like you said.

.angie. 07-28-2005 12:48 PM

So yeah, I can see why you think it's stupid that all these younger people are all boastful about being sXe when it's not even that much of an accomplishment because they had probably decided to be sXe just a few days ago..

Urban Hat€monger ? 07-28-2005 12:49 PM

When I was 15 all i cared about was where the money for the next video game or album would come from

anticipation 07-28-2005 12:51 PM

all i care about now is where is the money.

Urban Hat€monger ? 07-28-2005 12:52 PM

I`m the opposite now

I have the money but there`s very little of interest for me to buy

.angie. 07-28-2005 12:56 PM

But then again, I'm like, the geekiest one in my group of friends and i count down days to when the next Zelda game is coming out.. While all my other friends worry about when the next party is.

Kids want to grow up too fast these days.

I had no desire to even set foot into a nightclub until I was about 22

Trauma 07-28-2005 01:12 PM

I totally agree with the sXe thing, I mean I don't think I could be like this guy for very long.

http://www.downhillbattle.org/interv...allery/ian.jpg

Seriously, I'm 14 and can't maintain a sXe philosophy...I don't see how I could do it any later in life.
You just need to keep your vices under control I think.
Don't be stoned, drunk, or high on television for a whole week.

Back to topic now?

Im better than you cause it was 13 for me...minus the drinks those didnt come until 14.

Fenixpunk 07-28-2005 02:42 PM

13 is pretty young to be playing gigs in clubs, we played with Chronic Future when they were about that age. The club wouldnt let them in without their parents there.

sleepy jack 07-28-2005 02:50 PM

I was in the back and they said i was 14 almost 15 and the rest of band my band members were 17.

Trauma 07-28-2005 03:11 PM

Just because the way you describe yourself now I can't imagine how small you were then!

holdyoualways 01-21-2006 12:11 PM

total bumpage!

currently its my reminder-the beautiful mistake. makes me wanna cry everytime i hear it. & has absolutely NOTHING to do with straight edge, which makes me happy.
