The intro of Summer of '09 by All Caps has a certain intro that I know belongs to a specific genre that uses the same instrument. Can anyone give me similar songs or something that sounds the same? Thanks.

Maybe, someone familiar with more modern 'pop' music may be able to help you.

All I can think of is DM and Nitzer Ebb.
