I've always found Butthole Surfers to be a pretty cool name. Sure it's gross, but when I first heard of them in high school I never thought about it literally...I just thought it was funny and cool, with a hard edge. A force to be reckoned with.

Plus it raises questions. Is it a reference to people who surf buttholes or to surfers who are buttholes?

Maybe that's exactly why I never thought twice about the name...I assumed the later instead of the former.
