I hate prog, no idea why. It's definitely not a case of disliking pretentiousness because I'm a fan of some of the most pretentious groups on the planet. And it's not like I haven't given the genre a chance. Thinking that In The Court Of The Crimson King is a terrible album will probably be a permanent blight on my hipster credentials.

Yeah to me Coldplay has only one good song and it's "Don't Panic".

I first heard it during this space show called Odyssey 5 and it fit so perfectly with being out in space and floating around.

I always thought Nickelback was more popular than STP. I didn't even realize that STP was relevant to mainstream rock radio anymore, although that may have changed now that Chester Bennington is their lead vocalist. LOL

*groan* Linkin Park and STP elements mixed together (I didn't even know this happened)? I could stomp on a bag of kittens.

I'm not a huge fan of Queens of the Stone Age. The only songs from them I own are on soundtracks (which are quite a few), and I have yet to really listen to any of them all the way through. I can understand why some people like them, and why they are regarded in the manner that they are, but I just cannot get into their music at all.

I don't like black metal, any of it. It's the whole occult, evil and Satan thing. I'm fine with Black Sabbath, but I'm never sure which black metal bands take the stuff seriously.

I was with you there...Brother, notice I used the word was.. Im not fully in the water with it but, I now understand why its as dark as it is.. But I get where you are comin from...

Edit: The word Occult means knowledge hidden from view... When you know the words origin you realize that it's not as dark as it initially seems...
