"Genre? What you must remember Tom is, a good song is a good song, people can try and pidgeon-hole it if they like it doesn't make it any better or worse for me"

Your dad is wise. I'm sure i've said before my family tend to pigeon hole me.

"I didn't know you liked this song? You know who sang it?"

Then they proceed to 'enlighten' me about who Frank Sinatra or Johnny Cash was, like I have no idea and thought it was an old Spice Girls number.

nah its just i'd never heard him listen to her before and i was just like
