Mods
Wear Parka coats AKA Fishtails They have numerous mirrors on their scooters (Vespas or Lambrettas) They took pride in being clean, tidy, and kept their hair neat Phil Daniels played Jimmy (central character) in the film Quadrophenia Many scenes in above film were actual facts, ie some time in the mid 60s following a Bank holiday riot in Brighton Mods/Rockers were hawled before a court and a Mod was fined X amount of £s for his part in the violence, to great cheers from his co-defendants he produced a cheque book and ****ily offered to pay there and then. In the film Quadraphenia the cheque book character, named Ace (I think) was played by Sting of The Police. As for the Rockers They like leather / Motorbikes / Boots / Eddie Cochran / Gene Vincent / Hated Mods / Loved Rock n Roll...Be Bop a lula shes my baby. Me personally would'nt have minded being either a Mod or Rocker, prob would have been both on alternate weekends. Didn't realise I've just wrote all this crap. I'm really tired so I can't be arsed editing it. Sooooooorrrrrrrry to waffle. |
