RIP, Phil.
A rare gem from 1968. This may be from a vintage tape, but in my opinion this is another great from the Late 60's that seriously gets overlooked. ...and the studio version which was their last hit before their reunion, but please hear the live TV version first to check out their performing style that's usually better than the records. For some reason under-rated eras are something that's of major interest, but when performances are this good, I like to share some of these songs to introduce to others. The harmonies on Love Me Do were patterned after the harmonies on Cathy's Clown.
