Default 27 Death Club: Famous Musicians That Died at Age 27

27 Death Club: Famous Musicians That Died at Age 27-howard-sounes-27-new-book1.jpg

A group of talented and troubled musicians whose deaths have become before the time , engaged with mystery. That club which no one wants to join includes late legends Jimi Hendrix, Kurt Cobain , Janis Joplin, and Jim Morrison.

50 musicians have died at age 27, a new book called ’27: A History of the 27 Club,’ will remember their final hours. Howard Sounes’ new music book is out now.

Check some of that musicians below:

* Robert Leroy Johnson (May 8, 1911 – August 16, 1938)

* Rudy Lewis (August 23, 1936 – May 20, 1964)

* Brian Jones (February 28, 1942 – July 3, 1969)

* Alan “Blind Owl” Wilson (July 4, 1943 – September 3, 1970)

* Jimi Hendrix (November 27, 1942 – September 18, 1970)

* Janis Joplin (January 19, 1943 – October 4, 1970)

* Jim Morrison (December 8, 1943 – July 3, 1971)

* Ron “Pigpen” McKernan (September 8, 1945 – March 8, 1973)

* Dave Alexander (June 3, 1947 – February 10, 1975)

* Kurt Cobain (February 20, 1967 – April 8, 1994)

* Kristen Pfaff (May 26, 1967 – June 16, 1994)

* Richey James Edwards (December 22, 1967 – February 1, 1995)

* Amy Winehouse (September 14, 1983 – July 23, 2011)

There is an insecure world in the arts industry, and many are those artists who can not stand the pressure. Someone will succeed Amy Whinehouse this list?

I hope it doesn't!

They haven't found a body, or any proof that he's actually dead.

I actually think in a lot of these cases it was death by misadventure. Quite a few of the artists who died were on top of the world so to speak in my opinion. Yes they were subjected to huge pressures to succeed, but at the same time they had the world on a string. Millions of fans and millions of dollars rattling around in their bank accounts and there in lies the temptation..............

I think that 27 years old is just a common age for people who have both risen to fame and have had a heavy social/musical impact by the time of their death.
