Songs you love to sing to
I am a terrible singer. It's not so much that my vocal tone is bad, but that I have atrocious *pitch*. It doesn't stop me from singing certain songs. I play this one in Plug pretty often because I just love to sing to it, esp. the bridge

Singing is one of my hidden talents but probably because I inherited my mom's voice (she was trained by some Russian opera singer or whatever, also inb4 ur mom is liza minelli) and I can't stand her so that's why it's hidden but here are mine:

I sing in silence. I'm too quiet in public. In private I'm the karaoke-drunkar queen betch! So come dance/party with me?
|
Beatles songs always get me singing. Weird as I don't own any Beatles albums.

I'm not that good singer but I absolutely love singing. I usually sing every song my range allowed me to and I know the words
|
Bruno Mars - Grenade love that song
|
pretty much anything I know the lyrics to, and only when I'm alone so I don't kill anyone with my lack of skill.
but this is one of my favorites: Sparks - "Here in Heaven" |
I love to sing to pretty much all of the music I listen to and if I have headphones on I kind of have a tendency to always belt out the vocals anywhere anytime haha.
really can't help but sing along to this one always love singing the chorus and especially the second verse Cover this one a lot, always fun to sing |

I often annoy my employees by singing "The Dust Blows Forward 'N The Dust Blows Back" by Captain Beefheart in its entirety (I have the damn thing memorized)... along with countless Daniel Johnston songs. A few of them even sing along to "I Had Lost My Mind."

I've been told I can sing but not sure about how good. I think with a voice coach I could be good. This song I've sung for years, it's beautiful and a great Kiwi classic.
Robyn's one hit wonder from the 90's: The All Saints was my childhood favourites: Silverchair: Bush: No Doubt: |
|
Billy Ray Cyrus Achy Breaky Heart is a bit of a guilty pleasure kind of sing along.
Songs from Rocky Horror Picture Show, too. Metallica songs I know. The Runaways songs. Steve Earle's Copperhead Road. Because I Got High by Afro Man. Balanise and Tush by ZZ Top. Surfin' Dead by The Cramps The Performer by Gwar Many others... |
I also love to sing a long with Bad Blake from the Crazy Heart soundtrack...! ;)

No Women No Cry

I caught myself singing Oasis to myself when I was walking home yesterday, I guess I do it a lot, this usually:
|
Sublime- Santeria
Everytime it comes on I try to abstain but that pop a cap in Sancho line is an elixir to my Karaoke. Honestly I gave up on Sublime many moons ago and don't really care for it, but Brad is a catchy lyricist. |
^i think Sublime will always have a small place in my heart

for Engine in all honesty i can't think of a Police song that i don't sing out loud....but this one is not only lyrically just awesome....but so much fun and this one.....is just perfection i mean come on..."in this desert that i call my soul, i always play the starring role" |
Sometimes I spontaneously break into song, and for some reason it's always this song:
or I'll start humming it randomly everywhere |
My Karaoke covers.

There are a lot of songs and it depends on the mood and what I have listened to earlier but I would say: "Behind The Wheel" by Depeche Mode, one of my favorite songs of my favorite bands...
|
The Smiths - The Boy With the Thorn in His Side
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rsjevMbPqW0 My fave showering song |
So many songs I could list off, but right now I've had 'Harlem' by New Politics stuck in my head for the last number of days. Can't stop singing it.
|
Love singing this. Wish I had someone to do the backup harmonies with me at all times.
Some interesting history behind it too. |
Can't resist the urge to sing with this one.
The Carpenters – For All We Know |
I challenge anyone to listen to the opening this with out starting to sing along "You knowww, I'm a dreamerrrrrrr…but my heart's a gold…" Even if you're in a library right now.
