Most of my albums are filed in my collection where they rarely see the light of day, so I like to display a few of my favorites from time to time. Yeah, I play vinyl when I'm at home, but I can't play my vinyl on a boombox, or at work, or in my car, or in a hotel room. It's nice to have a portable copy on CD, or HDD, or a USB stick in addition to the vinyl copy. And I already have the recording equipment hooked up, so why not use it? |
