Barbie Rock

I heard that there may have been a rock style called Barbie Rock. Who represented this style? Was it the Go-Go's? The Bangles? Joan Jett? If there is to be a Barbie Rock style, I think it should be characterized by the following phrase:

You guys are like so lame, but I love you!

if there is such a thing as barbie rock none of those band would represent it because none of those bands look like barbies, that is why they are good bands and not paramour.
