Nah I don't like to try and push people into other stuff. If I'm listening to something and they like it then so be it.

I don't mind punk but couldn't listen to it all the time.

I find people like him very resourceful in a way. I've discovered a good handful of tunes from him which are all punk. Most these songs I would have never bothered to listen to so he helped me find those tunes in a way.

I like virtually any genre so I love talking to people that dedicate themselves to a single or couple genres. They kind of sift out the crap and recommend the gems.

I have a friend that is just straight hardcore metal head. Have found some amazing stuff from his recommends. Another guy at work that is just all about his old school hip hop. Got a list from him and have liked quite a bit of it.
