Default Songs that Pick You Up & Lift Your Mood

What are your Favorite Mood-lifting Songs?

The sort of song about which you might say, "My ex is trying to destroy my life, those closest to me are dying, I'm slowly going blind, my basement is filling up with raw sewage, AND my expensive organic rainbow chard has gone moldy, but...La la la! "

...and you are cheerfully singing along as if you didn't have a care in the world.

Here's mine right now:

Green Day - Basket Case
Whenever I hear this, no matter what's happening, I start to sing along happily.

For a good six months straight I listened to two songs every morning and they made me feel good and look forward to my day even if I already knew I wasn't going to enjoy it at the job I was going to.

I love the whole song but this is probably my favorite verse. I also love the free falling sample. Just goodness all around.

Yeah, today gonna be (A Good Day), I'm feelin like I'm Ice Cube
I'm wakin up like can't nobody mess up my mood
Knowin I'm a boss, I'm a do what I choose
If I was you then I would probably (hate of me too)
If it's true (true), that money is time, then watch this
Ain't tryin to run out of time, so I purchase some watches
Y'all sick, the chips got the haters nauseous
They chicks jumpin in my whip like a mosh pit
I wish (wish) I could be effected by any hate but I can't (can't)
'Cause I just get effected by the bank
It's great (great) to never know the feel of bein fake
I awake, then I go take a visit to the sink
Uh, dirty money got me sanitizin my hands
Lord knows what the previous owner did with these grands
Yeah, I ain't sayin it just to brag
I say it so you can be motivated to get the cash

Also, I played this song every morning when I was getting ready during my senior year of high school and it just lifted my mood.

I know Cake did a cover of this, but I always liked the original better:

The problem with Franco Pepe Kalle is that he is a unpredictable character. There is surprising info about this man. You think he only likes Franco and Pepe Kalle but when you find out that he hears other artists, you are shock.

Girls are the sexy thing that God created.

Important to notice FPK.

Jimmy Eat World - "The Middle"

^ I watched the official video for the first time a couple days ago, and I must say that all the underwear distracted me completely from the song's message, which is very uplifting!

Lyrics:

Hey, don't write yourself off yet
It's only in your head you feel left out or looked down on.
Just try your best, try everything you can.
And don't you worry what they tell themselves when you're away.

It just takes some time, little girl you're in the middle of the ride.
Everything (everything) will be just fine, everything (everything) will be alright (alright).

Hey, you know they're all the same.
You know you're doing better on your own, so don't buy in.
Live right now.
Yeah, just be yourself.
It doesn't matter if it's good enough for someone else.

It just takes some time, little girl you're in the middle of the ride.
Everything (everything) will be just fine, everything (everything) will be alright (alright).
It just takes some time, little girl you're in the middle of the ride.
Everything (everything) will be just fine, everything (everything) will be alright (alright).

Hey, don't write yourself off yet.
It's only in your head you feel left out or looked down on.
Just do your best, do everything you can.
And don't you worry what the bitter hearts are gonna say.

It just takes some time, little girl you're in the middle of the ride.
Everything (everything) will be just fine, everything (everything) will be alright (alright).
It just takes some time, little girl you're in the middle of the ride.
Everything (everything) will be just fine, everything (everything) will be alright (alright).

I'm pretty sure this song ends up having more meaning for people that have had some sort of drug or alcohol addiction but it always lifts me out of my depressive funks.
