Which musical instrument is used?

Which musical instrument is used which starts playing from 1:46 till the end in the trailer. The link is on youtube (v=kNNiWd3Hl3I) and the name of the clip is "MISS LOVELY - A film by Ashim Ahluwalia [Official HQ Trailer with English subs]" ?

Also would like to know which instruments is used in the first few seconds of the clip if possible?

Wow there's a lot going on in that clip. I think you're looking for the name of the plucked string instrument? Definitely sounds eastern but it's not a sitar. I would recommend maybe posting this on an Indian music forum. Another thing you could do is go to a website that has sounds of Indian stringed instruments and listen to them until you find one that sounds similar.
