The Karaoke Korner
If you have been to a Karaoke bar before. What are your favorite go to songs?
If you haven't even done Karaoke before what songs do you feel confident about singing. A song that you know all the words by heart. Also, do you have any songs that you constantly sing while in the shower? Feel free to post youtube vids if you want. I have some weird songs that come to me while in the shower. It's usually one hit wonders that make me hate myself for them popping up into my head. The last one that jumped into my head was "Mmm Bop" some good ole' Hanson. I've personally never been to a Karaoke bar/event but I would have to go with R. Kelly's ignition(remix). I hear drunk white girls love to sing that but idc I'm totally doing it. Also, the dreaded "Don't Stop Believing" will be performed by me probably near the end of the night when I'm fully sloshed. Oh oh oh I would definitely have to do "Rolling in the Deep" by Adele. Also do an impromptu duet with Goofle of "Do you want me" by The Human League. |
I've done karaoke a few times. Did a fair job with No Distance Left to Run by Blur. Also a few Sinatra tracks. It's weird that I can sing karaoke when I'm normally anxious just talking to people.

I unabashedly love karaoke! My absolute favorite song to do is "Kiss", not the Prince original which is way too high for my voice, but the Tom Jones/Art of Noise version. I kick ass at singing that song if I do say so myself.
I'm also pretty good with Bad Company's "Feel Like Making Love". And I once rocked the house at a bar in a small Alabama town singing "Cradle of Love" by Billy Idol. I literally had people coming up to me and shaking my hand after that one. |
I have done Karaoke many times! I sing Alanis Morissette and The Cranberries songs usually. It's so much fun. :)

i sing you got what i need by biz markie
but i sing like the dan band and add curses either gotta sing somerhin silly like backstreet boys or do ur own remix |
"Brown Sugar" is my standard offering. It's a very satisfying song to sing
I also tried doing "Can't Take My Eyes off You" after several pints but I kept missing my cues. Luckily the pub were on hand to help me along. I did a semi duet of "Dakota" by Stereophonics with a stranger...after several pints and I have no recollection as to whether it went down well or not. I also did a duet of "When We Were Young" by The Killers with a friend of mine. I think we may have re-invented music several times before the track ended. My karaoke group (O.D.A) once did a terrifyingly beautiful version of Take That's "Back for Good". Not a dry eye in the house. I would love the opportunity to do my own rendition of Bryan Ferry's version of "The Times They Are-a-Changin'" but life-changing opportunities don't arise every karaoke night |
