I don't think you get it. Being an animated band means that they are characters. I'm sure you know that characters have their own lives and are different from their creators. You can relate to that because I know you write.

Murdoc is a member of the animated band. A character. You are taking something fictitious and passing it off like it is reality when it's not. Also what's with the whole guilty until proven innocent spiel.

Look I don't really care. If someone wrote a graphic novel in which a cat or dog was set on fire, or other animal cruelty used in that way I wouldn't read the author's material any more. If someone --- fictitous or not, I couldn't care less when it's treated as a joke by its "creators" --- does this in a musical context then I don't listen to anything they create.

I'm not sure why you're so bothered. I don't care about Gorillaz. Big deal. Get over it. Whether the rumour is real or not I don't know but I have read the interview and it was admitted, so it's not like it's something I made up or dreamed. Therefore I ask you, what's with "what's with the guilty till innocent"? I've seen that they are "guilty". If someone can prove that I misread or that it was misquoted fine, but until then they can go ahead without me. I'm sure it'll hurt their sales. :rolleyes:

I'm not bothered it's just weird to me that you are putting so much emphasis on a character and treating the whole project like they have created the great sins of man. I'm not saying any of this to try to persuade you into listening to the Gorillaz. Reading an interview isn't evidence that a physical cat in the real world was set on fire. Seeing pictures of said cat on fire is evidence that one was set on fire. I just find it odd that you take this position and wanted to comment on it but I'm done. You do the same thing over and over again.

So do you. It was merely a comment made out of courtesy to you, to show that I had a reason for not listening to the song. An explanation, and you asked for examples, proof and then took it to the nth level. Please don't accuse me of blowing this up. I didn't. You were the one who did that.

I liked this, reminds me of Portishead a bit. Mellow and dark at the same time, and dat piano... ughh. 9/10

This was nice, relaxing. I always relate songs like this to The Lovely Bones or something. Lyrics are on point. Soundscape songs are my favorite! 9/10

Couldn't picture the deep blue sea, more like a dessert or Vegas or something. Not my kinda song either, sorry. 4/10

To be honest I have given up on this in its current form. The amount of work required to do it each week is not worth the 4 entries I receive. Love me hate me but I am very busy and have no problem making time to do this but when participation is so low I do not see the point. I am sitting on 4 tracks from a few weeks ago, but am thinking of a new way to work this thread so many it can actually get some attention.
