Cool. Got that. Oddly, a search under "Mondo" did not locate it, though a search now under "Weapons" did...

Yup. Got that. Those Black Heart Procession guys: best album I should check out first? Really liked that, as you can see...

Just so it's clear Trollheart.....the track I submitted is actually two bands collaborating for a producer in Belgium I think.....rostasi probably knows much more than I do about the "in the fish tank" series

so thwt track is of Black Heart Procession (san diego, ca) and the band Solbakken (somewhere in the Netherlands)....the name of this album is called "in the fish tank 11"....it has six tracks all of which are unforgettable....if you have trouble finding it let me know and I'll help you out

That paticular track I submitted is very reminiscent of Black Heart Procession....so with them I suggest going for the albums "2" and "3" both are phenomenal and a great starting point for them.....these should be pretty easy to find....but again just ask

Solbakken my be a little harder to track down but if you can find the album "Klonapet" it is well worth a listen....again just ask if you need help tracking it down

Thanks for that bob. I'll have a look around.

In the meantime, guys I think you can just email me your submissions directly. The files surely should not be that big, and one of the hosters, Mediafire, is refusing to allow me download files sent to it. So for handiness' sake, just attach your file to the email and I'll get it that way.

Thanks to those who have sent something so far, though I notice it's the same people again. Come on you other guys: where are yiz? Songs about weapons is not a hard subject: get with the program, huh?

Ween - Wayne's Pet Youngin' - I like this track a lot, it's fun and raw as ****. Trollheart, you might like this side of Ween a bit better (their discography is quite diverse, hell even their albums vary widely from track to track).

Black Heart Procession & Solbakken- Dog Song - Loved this track, thought that the piano added a fantastically dark feel to it. I keep telling myself I'll check these guys out whenever JD plays them in plug but I think I'll actually do it now.

Jex Thoth - When the Raven Calls - Thought that the psychedelic tinge to this track worked very nicely, but the vocals really threw a stick in the spokes of the song for me. I liked the flute that was playing during the verses a lot though.

Hothouse Flowers - Don't Go - Oh my, this was cheesy. The sax interlude was the only interesting part.

Killdozer - Knuckles the Dog (Who Helps People) - I wasn't a fan of the vocalist on this one, but otherwise it was a decent track.

Primus - Too Many Puppies - I remember falling in love with Primus at age 6 when my dad was listening to this track because I thought it was hilarious. It still hasn't lost its value for me.

Jello Biafra and the Guantanamo School of Medicine - Pets Eat Their Master - My favourite track on the playlist. Thought that the guitars on it were great and liked the no wave-esque feel to the track that it had in the beginning. The rest of the track is good punky fun.

Ella Fitzgerald - Lullaby of Birdland - Can't hate Ella. Great instrumentation, notably the piano, and great vocals on this track. Nice pick.

Probably a dumb question, but how should I submit my song to you? Are you saying personal email or is there some sort of email link here on mb I'm unaware of?

Have I all the submissions I'm going to get at this point, or is anyone else intending to send me a song? If the former, I'll staple this together and pop it up for download by Friday.

Thanks to those who got off their arses and sent up a song; boo sucks to those many of you who didn't.
