I think there were more tracks but because you were having inbox issues. You ended up deleting some of them.

I submitted one unless you deleted it in purpose. You devious troll you.

Dammit, did you send one? What was it called? I don't remember getting one from you, but this inbox thing is driving me mad. Every other day it's "Your PM box is ninety-plus percent full"! It's 92 now and there's not that much there. Is there any way to get a bigger inbox?

Anyway sorry if I missed your track DJ: I really don't remember it but if you remind me it may ring a bell.

OKay then let's try this again. I'm going to keep to a theme, as when I offered to drop the theme last week it made no difference to the submissions, and I'd rather have some sort of pattern here.

So this week's theme is

WEAPONS

Your song must either have some sort of weapon in the title or be about a weapon or weapons. Any weapon is fine --- guns, rifles, swords, tanks, whatever --- but no metaphorical ones unless they're in the title. So "Love is a battlefield" by Pat Benatar or "Open fire" by Y&T would not be acceptable, while "A sweet little bullet from a pretty blue gun" by Tom Waits or "Love gun" by Kiss would be.

So get sending those PMS: oops! Better clear out my inbox.
You know what? Send me an email instead: this PM thing is driving me mad. You all know it: trollheart@gmail.com. Just put MIXTAPE in the subject header.

Let's see if we can get more interest going second time around....

Frownland: Ween - Wayne's Pet Youngin'....it's stuff like this that make me wanna listen to Ween....this is from their first album right?....great track could have also used that song about Fluffy from their country album

bob.: Black Heart Procession & Solbakken- Dog Song.....my first choice when trollheart said the theme was "pets" was actually a song by Solbaken called pet city....but i was out of town and could night find it on youtube....so i went with this one

Carpe Mortem: Jex Thoth - When the Raven Calls....putting aside my absolute school boy crush on Jex Toth....i think this is one of the stronger songs on their debut album....great choice

Trollheart: Hothouse Flowers - Don't Go kind of reminded me of "born in usa" era bruce mixed with may dave mathews.....honestly not bad at all....not exactly my cup of tea but i think for what it is....it's quite good

Mondo Bungle: Killdozer - Knuckles the Dog (Who Helps People)...Killdozer is one of those bands that i have a lot of stuff from in various forms....but never really dove into....love this track and it makes me think i need to just sit down and listen to everything i have by them

Plankton: Primus - Too Many Puppies.....frizzle fry is pretty much the only Primus album i still listen to on a regualr basis....and this track is one of the reason why it seems to have such staying power for me

rostasi: Jello Biafra and the Guantanamo School of Medicine - Pets Eat Their Master the world is a better place with Jello in it

Deviouz: Ella Fitzgerald - Lullaby of Birdland what can be said about Ella Fitgerald that hasn't been said....she was amazing and this song is proof of that

Why don't you just save your PMs in text form and clear out your whole box?

I do that regularly.

To keep it simple I'm gonna rate the tracks purely by numbers, and three adjectives each. Might adopt this system for my journal too actually.

Frownland: Ween - Wayne's Pet Youngin' Party, hectic, wild 6/10

bob.: Black Heart Procession & Solbakken - Dog Song Haunting, dramatic, classy 8/10

Carpe Mortem: Jex Thoth - When the Raven Calls Mysterious, beautiful, heartbreaking 10/10 :P

Trollheart: Hothouse Flowers - Don't Go Fun, catchy, optimistic 5/10

Mondo Bungle: Killdozer - Knuckles the Dog (Who Helps People)
Blistering, dirty, chill 9/10

Plankton: Primus - Too Many Puppies Basstastic, funny, creative 7/10

rostasi: Jello Biafra and the Guantanamo School of Medicine - Pets Eat Their Master Surfy, aggressive, bold 9/10

Deviouz: Ella Fitzgerald - Lullaby of Birdland Sexy, poignant, smoky 8/10
