I don't have that one bob so yeah, if you wouldn't mind...

Ok it's done. I have to admit this has not been an easy or enjoyable process, quite akin to pulling teeth. I honestly don't know if I'll do this again. We'll see what the reaction is like.
Here is the file anyway. I forget who submitted what, but will try to confirm in my next post. Zippyshare.com - April 18.rar A big disappointment: I can see why Rezz chucked it. If nobody else is bothered why should I be? Seven tracks in total, and that includes mine. Lordy. |
Seven tracks sounds like plenty to me, I'd say this was a success! I mean hell only three or four people ever seem to get in on 'Metal Wars'. Most people on this site aren't into committing to something, I'm glad we have a few who were.

When the mixtape was revived the first time around, I went down with the ship. And was a little disappointed when it was given up.
Mine's the Killdozer track. |
Goddamn maths again! :banghead:
Thanks for that Rostasi. As I recall, the songs were submitted as below: Dog song by Black Heart Procession was from bob When the raven calls by Jex Thoth was from Carpe I think Don't go by Hothouse Flowers was from me Pets eat their masters by Jello Biafra was from Rostasi Too many puppies by Primus was from Plankton Lullaby of Birdland by Ella Fitzgerald was from Devious which leaves just Wayne's pet youngin' by Ween and Knuckles the dog who helps people by Killdozer to be claimed. I'm sorry but my inbox is 94% full and I had to delete all PMs so I don't know who submitted these. Let me know and I'll add yez. On another note, no, seven (eight including mine) is not great, not when you consider how hard I had to push to get those tracks. Some submitted songs right away, I don't deny that. But seven out of everyone here, especially considering I offered to drop the theme, and we still only got seven? I don't consider that a good response. Not for all the work that ends up being put into this. You all know I'm mad busy. My own choice of course. But unless this picks up in popularity I would not be prepared to keep doing it. It's easy to say "oh go on", but I didn't see anyone else taking this on. I've tried and got what I consider a very weak response, though again thanks to those who did respond. But considering how many asked why had the mixtape stopped, and seemed to be interested, the response was pretty minimal in my view. As I say, perhaps when people download the tape and begin commenting more people might get the interest to actually contribute next time (if there is a next time) but if not I'm not going to cry myself to sleep about it. I've more to do than to try to resurrect something that the majority of you seem happy to leave dead. Anyway, that's my rant. Listen to the tape and see what you think. You all know the drill. Depending on the amount of/lack of comments and the general interest or lack of, I'll make my decision as to whether or not I want to bother doing this again. One more time: thanks to those who contributed. Hope you all enjoy. |
