Been a while since I've heard this. The album is pretty good,
but I've always had a soft spot for Duran Duran.
Glad you guys like it! "Sleeping Gas" and "Ain't That A Bitch" stood out to me most. I loved them.

I'll be doing the same as Astronomer and just review my favourite tracks, but I'll do it for both parts of the mixtape at once.

2. Dengue Fever - Tiger Phone Card
Fun track, almost reminds me of a modern day Jefferson Airplane.

3. Killing Joke - Inside the Termite Mound
Haven't heard a Killing Joke track that I have not liked yet. I really dig the industrial side of their music especially.

6. Beats Antique - Dope Crunk
The Indian (?) influence on this track is cool as **** and it's catchy. Normally something I wouldn't listen to but this is pretty sveet.

11. Nouvelle Vague - No One Knows
This was an awesome interpretation of the QOTSA song, I like how it's entirely different while still staying respectful to the song. The singer has a beautiful voice, too.

12. Stara Rzeka - Przebudzenie Boga Wschodu
My favourite track on all of the mixtape. Very good musicianship on Stara's part in that his playing has a lot of depth. I especially love how seamlessly the genre transitions are.

16. Grand Belial's Key - Vultures of Misfortune
Well that was quite a turnaround in the beginning, one I enjoyed.

19. Corrections House - Hoax the System
I like the droney part in the beginning and how raw this track was. Good pick.

21. Coffins - Decapitated Crawl
Heaviness squared. This was an intense and over the top track, I loved it.

Other tracks were good for their genres but unfortunately they were genres that I don't listen to or often enjoy, so they didn't make my cut.

Ah my track doesn't seem to be pleasing the crowds here. Sorry guys, I don't listen to a lot of the more obscure things you listen to

I liked it alot. I think it actually fit well right after the Rush track that is right before it. While it was not a huge standout song for me it is certainly not one I skip over listening to this. Reminds me of a lot of 80 girl bands, with that big stadium sound.

No need to be sorry, different strokes for different folks. Your track was one that I could tell was good for its genre but didn't quite appeal to me.

Probably something new that I haven't gotten to yet.
I kinda wish they were an instrumental band...and their (physical)
covers are wonderfully creative - probably really lovely as a 12X12.
Yeah, it's off their latest album Night of the Long Knives (which was just released this year). As I listened to the mixtape, I realized it worked much better in the context of the album. Listening to a song like that on its own diminishes it just a bit. I still love it, though. And the whole album for that matter. And yeah, the artwork is really nice on vinyl. I got this album and Disappearance as a gift on vinyl...that's actually how I discovered them.

Just so you all know the order is determined by the order in which I receive them, I do not choose anything above anything else.

I really liked how polarizing my contribution was.

Definitely recommend checking out their album, but their EPs are also really awesome so don't miss them either! So psyched that a band that I went to high school with are getting so much praise! Awesome

so i listened to both parts twice while driving from reno to LA tonight.....i just wanted to say first off that this is by far the most pleasing mix of music i've heard in years.....and that i absolutely love this idea....i can honestly say that i have nothing bad to say about a single track on this and i will on sunday comment on each track

thanks to everyone...this is exactly what i needed

rez....are you deciding on the order after previewing or just by chance/as they come in?

being that kid in the late 80s-90s i basically made mix tapes for everyone....and order had a lot to do with it.....this really flowed perfect.....i just have to point how well Vanilla's track blended with mine as if they were on the same album.....puuuuurrrfect
